Florida State vs. Virginia
- When: Friday, September 26th. 7:00 p.m. ET

Virginia is a solid team, and this is a road game, but the Seminoles are one of the most disciplined and best-coached teams in the country. We should have all known that a quality coach like Mike Norvell wouldn’t let his program continue to decline after the disastrous 2024.
Florida State has its sights on an ACC title. They won’t let a team like UVA get in their way. Expect at least a 10-point victory with Virginia playing hard in the first half and then letting down in the second.

LSU vs. Ole Miss

Garrett Nussmeier hasn’t turned it on the way we expected. There’s a reason. Brian Kelly’s team is winning with disciplined offense and great defense. Nussmeier will be the best quarterback on the field for sure on Saturday.
So if Kelly requires Garrett to light it up, the likely first-round NFL Draft pick in April, is sure to do so. The line suggests Ole Miss can win this, and Lane Kiffin’s squad can. But LSU is on a mission to prove it’s the best in the SEC. Kelly’s team gets it done.

USC vs. Illinois

USC is lighting up scoreboards this season. But a deeper dive reveals that it could be part smoke and a bit of mirror. The Trojans have beaten Missouri State, Georgia Southern, Purdue, and Michigan State.
Illinois gave up 63 points to Indiana in their last. The game got away from the Illini. A bounce back should happen in this because Illinois is a quality program with good players, and this happens on their field. The moneyline is playable on the desperate Illini. Taking the points is the best bet.

Ohio State vs. Washington

Like USC, Washington has looked good, destroying overmatched teams. Colorado State, UC Davis, and Washington State aren’t close, not even remotely close, to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Ohio State’s defense is elite. It’s the best in the nation. Washington’s D isn’t great. Colorado State and Washington State scored 20—Buckeyes roll.

Arizona vs. Iowa State

Nobody’s talking about the Arizona Wildcats. Sure, Zona had a horrific 2024, but head coach Brennan brought in a lot of experienced players through the transfer portal. The only other team with more experience through the portal is Texas Tech, and we saw how well Tech played against Utah on the road this past Saturday.
The Wildcats come off a bye. Before the bye, they took a chunk out of Kansas State in a nice cover win. Iowa State beat Arkansas State 24-16 in their last. Noah Fifita ensures the Cats have the quicker strike offense. Zona moneyline could be the way to go. Take the points for sure.

Alabama vs. Georgia

I was on Kalen DeBoer’s case like everyone else after Bama fell to Florida State in the first week. In hindsight, we weren’t being fair to FSU. The Seminoles are one of the best teams in the nation, and Bama was on the road.
So Alabama is much better than people believe. The Tide also got the message after the loss, dominating teams like Wisconsin since then. Georgia has the edge, but this is the SEC’s top rivalry game. Money’s flying onto the Bama ML and taking a shot.
