2025 NFL Week 4 Betting Preview
We’re in the first month of the NFL Season, and to say we have seen surprises would be an understatement. Both the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs head into NFL Week 4 with a 1-2 record, while the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles are 3-0 and looking every bit like an SB contender. Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals
- When: Thursday, September 25th. 8:15 p.m. ET
- NFL Week 4 Odds: Seahawks +1.5 / Cardinals -1.5
The Cards were unlucky against the Niners in their last game, losing by a single point in a 16-15 contest. Seattle looked fantastic versus a lousy Saints squad.
Since the Cards are at home, even without James Conner, who suffered a season-ending injury, Zona should get it done. Backup RB Trey Benson averages 6 yards per carry and should have some success versus the Hawks. Cards cover.
2025 NFL 4 Pick: Cardinals
Cleveland Browns vs. Detroit Lions
- When: Sunday, September 28th. 1:00 p.m. ET
- NFL Week 4 Odds: Browns +7.5 / Lions -7.5
Cleveland’s defense rocked the Green Bay Packers in Week 3’s biggest upset, handing the Pack a 13-10 loss. The Browns must now travel to Detroit to take on the scorching Lions, who have scored a combined 90 points in their last couple of games.
Don’t expect the Lions to go crazy in this one. Cleveland has the best rush defense in the league and is decent at chewing up the clock. This will be a slow game where the Lions prevail, but covering more than 7 points after a Monday night track meet with the Ravens is asking too much.
2025 NFL 4 Pick: Browns
Carolina Panthers vs. New England Patriots
- When: Sunday, September 28th. 1:00 p.m. ET
- NFL Week 4 Odds: Panthers +5.5 / Patriots -5.5/
The line is too high. Carolina’s D is decent. In fact, it’s borderline good after watching what it did to shut down Michael Penix Jr., Drake London, and Bijan Robinson. So, unless you think Drake Maye, Stefon Diggs, and Rhamondre Stevenson are on par or better than Atlanta’s trio, the Panthers keep this close.
Adding to the case? New England scored 13 against Vegas and 14 versus the Steelers. The Pats could lose this straight up.
2025 NFL 4 Pick: Panthers
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- When: Sunday, September 28th. 1:00 p.m. ET
- NFL Week 4 Odds: Eagles +192 / Buccaneers +155
The hook is the issue. At -3, Philly is an okay play because the Eagles should be in line for a victory. But at 3.5, it’s tough to go against Baker and the Bucs. Mayfield is one of those players who rally his team almost at will.
Mayfield has become one of the top QBs in the league. Also, Bucky Irving could go nuts against an Eagles’ D that was soft against the run versus the Rams in the miracle Week 3 win.
2025 NFL 4 Pick: Buccaneers +3
Indianapolis Colts vs. Los Angeles Rams
- When: Sunday, September 28th. 4:05 p.m. ET
- NFL Week 4 Odds: Colts +160 / Rams -196
Does it make sense to give the top offense in the NFL 6.5 points? Not at all. The Rams are a solid team. LAR should be 3-0, but failed to convert a last-second field goal in Philadelphia. The Eagles ran it back for a TD that blew the spread for those who had backed the Rams to cover.
Now the Rams face Daniel Jones and the Colts’ offense. The Colts’ D isn’t bad either. Although Sean McVay’s team should bounce back with a victory, covering 6.5 points should be tough.
2025 NFL 4 Pick: Colts
Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs
- When: Sunday, September 28th. 4:25 p.m. ET
- NFL Week 4 Odds: Ravens -2.5 / Chiefs +2.5
Here’s another tough line assessment. The Ravens lost a shootout to the Lions in one of this season’s more interesting games. The Chiefs thumped the Giants on the road to get their first win of the season.
KC’s offense doesn’t match up with Baltimore’s, but Patrick Mahomes is one of the best quarterbacks in the league at working the clock. He might be the best. So we should expect Reid to keep possessions to a minimum. It’s difficult to see either of these teams falling to 1-3. However, it’s going to happen, and we’ll take the points in what should be a 1-2 point game.
2025 NFL 4 Pick: Chiefs
Green Bay Packers vs. Dallas Cowboys
- When: Sunday, September 28th. 8:20 p.m. ET
- NFL Week 4 Odds: Packers -323 / Cowboys +255
Yes, Green Bay flopped in Cleveland, but no team flopped as much as the Dallas Cowboys. Not only did Chicago spank Dallas in NFL Week 3, but CeeDee Lamb might be on IR.
We’ll know more about CeeDee later this week. In any case, the Dallas D is a disaster. So Jordan Love should have his way in the NFL Sunday Night Football matchup—Packers cover.
