2025 NFL Week 10 Highlights

By Hank Blaine

If NFL Week 10 proved anything, it’s that you’re never out until the proverbial fat lady sings her final tune. Take the former 2-5 Baltimore Ravens, who, amazingly, are just a single game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North. We dive deeper into why the Ravens are again one of the teams to beat for the Lombardi, along with the other big stories, in an incredible NFL Week 10.

2025 NFL Week 10 Top Highlights

Baltimore wins again. Now sits at 4-5 and a game behind Pittsburgh in the AFC North

It’s almost as if Lamar Jackson, John Harbaugh, and the Baltimore organization scripted this. Let’s go 1-5 in our first six games, then fly out to a 3-game winning streak and pressure our biggest foes in the division, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The fact that the Ravens beat the Minnesota Vikings 27-19 this past Sunday says more than anyone can imagine. For starters, Baltimore’s defense has held the Ravens’ last three opponents, the Bears, Dolphins, and Vikings, to 16, 6, and 19 points, respectively.

So the Baltimore D has gelled. Second, J.J. McCarthy, the Vikings’ rookie QB, threw for more yards than Lamar… and the Ravens still won.

Baltimore plays the Bengals twice, the Steelers twice, the reeling Packers, and the Patriots to finish the season. Losing to the Packers and Patriots won’t matter; it probably won’t even happen. Baltimore is playing so well that if the Ravens sweep Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, they will win the AFC North. Crazy.

Three J’s go off in Detroit’s dominating win over the Commanders

The Lions’ Three J’s: Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Jameson Williams, went off on a putrid D.C. defense on Sunday. Goff threw for 320 yards and 3 TDs. Gibbs rushed for 142 yards and 2 TDs.

Jahmyr also caught three passes. One of the catches went for a touchdown. Jameson? The Lions’ WR2 caught six passes from 7 targets for 119 yards and a touchdown.

We can feel bad for Washington because Jayden Daniels has been hurt this season. However, the real reason the Commanders have struggled is that their defense hasn’t performed well. In the five straight losses, the Commanders haven’t given up less than 25 points.

In three of the last four games, Washington has allowed 44 twice, to the Cowboys and Lions, and 38 to the Seahawks. Quarterback isn’t the whole story in D.C. Unless the D gets it together, Washington may not win another game.

Rams and Seahawks show they’re the NFC’s teams to beat

The L.A. Rams went into San Francisco and dusted the Niners 42-26. It was Los Angeles’ fourth straight win and their fifth out of their last six.

The Seahawks have won 7-of-8. Seattle’s Sunday victim was the Arizona Cardinals, who managed only 22 points in a 44-22 loss.

Seattle plays LAR twice before the end of the season. No doubt, both teams should make the playoffs. It’s a question of which potentially grabs home field and wins the NFC West.

Eagles beat Green Bay by holding Love and the Packers’ offense to 7 points

The over/under in Green Bay’s hosting of Philadelphia on Monday night suggested a high-scoring game. Nope. GB and Philly played to a 10-7 contest that ended with Jalen Hurts and his mates raising their arms in victory.

Green Bay has problems. They struggle to run the football. So does Philly, which should have gotten Saquon Barkley loose versus a Green Bay team that also has trouble stopping the run.

Neither team looks like a Super Bowl contender at this point. Not with the Rams and Seahawks playing at such a high level in the NFC. But if you want to put a few bucks on either to win the Lombardi, go with the Eagles.

Hurts has more weapons with DeVonta Smith, A.J. Brown, Barkley, and tight end Dallas Goedert. Hurts can also make plays with his legs, and he’s the proven winner over Jordan Love. But it’s best to put money on the rising Ravens, the Lions, the Rams, or Seahawks, all of which continue to offer decent odds to lift the Lombardi.
