USC vs. Oregon

USC comes off a nice win over the Iowa Hawkeyes. Iowa built a lead in the game, but the Trojans managed a fantastic comeback. Things don’t get easier for USC, as it has to travel to traditional Pac-12 rival Oregon for a now massive Big Ten matchup.

But Lincoln Riley’s team can hang on the scoreboard. The hook will have a say as to which team comes out on top against the spread. Grab the 7.5 on the Trojans.

Cincinnati’s loss to Arizona makes more sense than many realize. U-of-A is one of the better teams in the Big 12, boasting a 6-3 record heading into their matchup with the Bearcats.

One of Arizona’s losses was to Cincy’s rival on Saturday, BYU, after a couple of overtimes. So Cincinnati did play well in the loss to Zona. This is a trap game for the Cougars, which are on the cusp of a CFP berth. Give the home team a chance to bounce back after a back-to-back loss—the home dog bites.

Pittsburgh vs. Georgia Tech

G-Tech bounced back from its first loss of the season to NC State, but things don’t look suitable for the Yellow Jackets hosting the Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday. The Jackets struggled big time against one of the worst teams in the ACC, Boston College.

Georgia Tech faces a solid group in Pitt. The Panthers had no shot against Notre Dame, but the Irish are a legitimate Top Ten team. G-Tech isn’t. The line makes the dog more than playable on the moneyline.

Tennessee vs. Florida

As expected, the Florida Gators lost their third straight, this time falling to Ole Miss by 10 points, 34-24. Florida played better than many expected, which tells us that nobody has faith in the Gators.

The program is in disarray. The players have no idea what’s going to happen, and it’s difficult to believe the team will pick it up against a ranked Tennessee team whose last couple of losses came against Top-Ten teams Alabama and Oklahoma.

Arkansas vs. Texas

It isn’t good in Austin. Some believe the preseason number 1 squad still has a shot to make the CFP. That’s not true. Nobody can back the Horns after watching them against Georgia.

The defense has now fallen to the level of the offense. Arch Manning should have headed to the exit after last season. The kid doesn’t handle pressure well. He’s not close to his uncles, Peyton and Eli, in terms of his mentality.

It doesn’t help that the O-line continues to play like a Division II line. No, worse. A high school in a small town in Texas. Playing behind the Dillion Panthers’ offensive line with Matt Saracen as your QB doesn’t work in the SEC. Maybe Jason Street, but not Saracen. The Hogs can win this straight up and break the eight-game losing streak. Taking the points is a no-brainer.

Missouri vs. Oklahoma

Oklahoma upset the Alabama Crimson Tide this past Saturday. But although credit goes to Brett Venables and his squad, the fact is that Bama was due for a letdown after beating so many ranked teams in a row.

The Sooners should bounce some in this. Mizzou is a solid team. The Tigers will challenge the Oklahoma defense. A negative bounce won’t lead to an Oklahoma loss straight up. It should lead to an Oklahoma loss ATS, though.
