2025 NBA Week 2 Betting Predictions
It’s NBA Week 2, and there’s already a lot to discuss. Rookie sensation Cooper Flagg heads to a showdown with SGA and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night (+8.5 home dogs), the Clippers and Warriors throwdown in Oakland on Tuesday, and then on Sunday, Victor Wembenyama and the Spurs take on the Suns. Flagg was fantastic in Sunday’s 139-129 win over the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors, though, aren’t the Oklahoma City Thunder. Flagg and the rest of the Mavs are going to have a tough time dealing with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, and the rest of the 3-0 Thunder. Expect OKC to cover.

LA Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors
- When: Tuesday, October 28th. 10:00 p.m. ET
- NBA Week 2 Odds: TBA
The Warriors have so far proven they will be a force in the loaded Western Conference. For sure, beating the Thunder will be difficult, but Steph, Jimmy B., and Draymond are hanging in there with a 2-1 record.
It’s early, and the Warriors must prove they have legs. The ATS bet should be on GS in this one. The best bet, though, will be on the total, since the Warriors aren’t playing defense and the Clippers aren’t either.
2025 NBA Week 2 Pick: Over
LA Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
- When: Wednesday, October 29th. 8:30 p.m. ET
- NBA Week 2 Odds: TBA
The Lakers will be without Luka, which means the line should be inflated in Minnesota’s favor. Although Anthony Edwards and the Wolves could cover, it’s more likely that the Lakers lose within the spread.
Another decent play could be under the total. Luka averaged 46 points in 2 games before his injury. Don’t expect Austin Reaves to drop 51 every night. Under will be the play to target.

Boston Celtics at Philadelphia 76ers
- When: Friday, October 31st. 6:00 p.m. ET
- NBA Week 2 Odds: TBA
There’s a reason the Cs are 0-3 heading into the week. Boston is a shell of the team that won the title a couple of seasons ago. Jayson Tatum won’t play this season, and Jaylen Brown is left out there alone.
Sure, he’s got Derrick White, but the rest of the roster isn’t great. The 76ers will miss both Paul George and Joel Embiid. But guard VJ Edgecombe is looking to lock down the rookie of the year award early. Edgecombe is averaging over 25 points, over five assists, and over six boards. Sixers win and cover.

Orlando Magic vs. Washington Wizards
- When: Saturday, November 1st. 7:00 p.m. ET
- NBA Week 2 Odds: TBA
The first game win, the Magic went cold the rest of the week. For some reason, Orlando couldn’t get the ball into the net. A date with the Washington Wizards should solve any shooting issues.
D.C. is allowing 10 more points per game than they average. The point total is high —126.3 —so if Orlando starts dropping buckets, the over will be in play. For now, backing the Magic to cover looks like the way to go.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Phoenix Suns
- When: Sunday, November 2nd. 9:00 p.m. ET
- NBA Week 2 Odds: TBA
Unless Wemby doesn’t play, this should be over by halftime. Sure, it’s only the first week, but San Antonio has shown it has enough to hang with Denver and OKC in the West.
SA is averaging 121 points while allowing 105. There doesn’t appear to be a reason the point differential will change. The Phoenix Suns are one of the worst-run franchises in any major sport. So the Spurs, one of the best franchises in any major sport, should roll big time. This sets up as a parlay with the Spurs covering. The question is going over or under? Wait for the total line before deciding.
